Here's a free ticket on the Clue Train for those bosses who need to change their shit up. When you're pissed because someone did something that didn't please you, try going TO THAT PERSON and discussing it.
Be an adult.
Be honest.
Be respectful.
But do it with that person.
Hell, if you want to fucking yell and scream at them, go ahead. (Between you and me, you're looking for a punch in the face or risk that the person will walk the fuck out if you choose to act like a two year old in desperate need of a nap.)
BUT DO NOT hold a special meeting to yell at a large group of people. I'm an adult. Adults are just larger, more experienced kids. Kids don't like the whole yell and scream syndrome. Adults like it even less.
And when you blather on and on about how we've all made your life tougher, put more work on your plate, and created a difficult situation for you, it really doesn't endear us to you. You make a hell of a lot more money than those of us assembled before you for your power-trip session.
When the blame, guilt trip, intimidation session ends, you've done nothing more than put up a wall between the very people on whom you rely to help you.
You've officially made your life more difficult.
Fuck you very much.
This kind of behavior on the part of management is usually an indicator of how you - as a whole - are viewed my management.
